Sporting a dark red robe shot through with violet highlights, this wine offers up a bouquet of ripe fruit and cherry. After a whistle-clean attack buoyed by silky tannins, the tangy cherry flavours on the palate bring freshness and elegance. This sociable wine will go down a treat whatever the occasion – pairingbeautifully with terrines, cold prepared meats, white meat or mild cheeses alike.

  • Grape variety: Gamay 100%
  • Best served at: 12 to 14°C, or more chilled in the summer at 10 to 12°C.
  • Laying down potential: best drunk within two years

Mechanical harvesting using a de-stemmer.
Placed in stainless steel vats for alcoholic fermentation at 25°C for six days
Pressing and blending of the first press juice with the free-run juice.
Malolactic fermentation at 20°.
Wine is cold-stabilised to encourage tartrate crystals to precipitate out.
Cross-flow filtration followed by storage in tanks.
Ageing in concrete and stainless steel tanks.
